KNIFE SKILLS

TIME: Apprx 2 hours (Sample cuts below)

  1. How to hold a knife: We will use celery to demonstrate

  2. Planking and Dicing: We will dice and roast a potato

  3. Match sticking / Chiffonade: We will use carrot, basil, and kale to demo

  4. Mincing: we will use ginger and garlic

  5. Onion: how to Salad chop, saute and dice an onion

    Possible recipes: Vegetable Stew, Spring Rolls, Kale Salad


LAYERING, SPICING and FLAVORING

In this class we will learn how to make a dish go from good to AHHHMAAZING! We will learn how and when to use spices as well as how to create flaor profiles for an ideal end result!

Possible recipes: Baked Ziti, Coconut Curry, Homemade Chili, Pinto Peanut Stew

CLASS TYPES:

DEMO: In the demo class, participants can watch a dish from start to finish, ask questions, and leave with a set recipe. Time 1 - 1.5 hrs

COOK ALONG DEMO: In the cook-along class participants will have a set recipe to follow and we will all cook together on screen. This is a shorter version of a full cooking class. Time 1  - 1.5 hours

Cooking Class: This will be a traditional cooking class apprx 2 - 3 hours where participants will make 2 - 4 recipes including garnish and sauces to put together an entire dish or meal. Participants will have the opportunity to follow along keep a PDF of the recipes.  Time 3 - 4 hrs

Free Style: In this class, participants will have a set list of ingredients. The Chef will go over knife skills, cooking techniques, and pro tips. After, participants will work with a team to create a dish that will be presented to the entire group after an allotted time frame. Time: 3 - 4 hours
